If it's remixed, won't it just be mixed louder and have even more clipping than the original, thus adding more digital distortion?
If that's the case, then no thanks.
Hello, and welcome to the forum. We don't know yet, but it could be a bass boost, drums mixed louder, vocals brought down and things like that.

I liked most of the songs on Linkin Park's Reanimation. *Shrug*
I also think you're confusing actual mixing re-mixes with DJ remixes, like Elochai said.
This is where we differ. Reanimation was a complete fucking waste of time. I had heard the songs about 50,000 times listening to Hybrid Theory, so when I listened to Reanimation expecting to hear something new/better/different, I was drastically disappointed. The only good thing to come out of it was the Pts.Of.Athrty video. And that had nothing to do with the song. Don't care either way. They both kinda suck. Remix= same song with slight differences. If they wanted it different, then they should have made it that way the first time. They never really add anything to the song by covering it themselves. Even the Perfect Insanity "cover" was kinda lame, though it was never that good to begin with, imo. Well, I still listen to Hybrid Theory more, but I still have most of the Re-animation songs on my iPod. Pts.Of.Athrty was a pretty good song, as was the one with Taproot's singer.

No First, Pts.OF.Athrty was better than the original. Ppr:Kut is the best song on the album.
They were the only two that even got close to competing, but neither matched the originals, imo. Especially since the whole CD was a bit pointless to me.

I think it would be really cool if they RE-RECORDED the whole album with new gear... but then again that could lead to the songs being ruined compared to the original, thus making few actually want to buy it. Who knows.
I'm actually looking forward to this re-issue.

Cuz john picks and fuzz fingered? It's a different sound Plus, if they run back the same sound, Fuzz better get his cut.

I think I like John better than Fuzz, it could be just because I like the new albums better than the first 2. But would the album sound that much more different with John? It sounds good to me when they play older stuff live.

John uses a pick and plays a more guitary part on bass. Fuzz used fingers and played a more bass part.

hmmm ok I can see how it can make a difference in the sound, but not enough to make it sound too different. (or maybe I just need to listen to the bass parts more)

No, Disturbed needs to crank the bass when mixing. Listen to "Remember," the bass part isn't hard to hear there.

Pretty much. John's playing is more choppy since he uses a pick, neither are bad, it's just different styles.
