The series should've ended there, if it had, it would've been remembered and recognised as one of the greatest horror movie series' of alltime, but the producer was a RETARD and tried to keep going, turning a brilliant trilogy of psychological thrillers into nothing but a bad joke, as I said, they killed it
I agree mostly, but I also maintain my belief that the fourth one was motherfucking kick ass for multiple reasons. I don't think the 4th one was NEEDED, but I think if they changed it a bit and had Hoffman caught and killed in that one (Thereby not needing Saw 5 and 6....or 7), it would have been better. Because 4 gives you LOADS of insight into Jigsaw's viewpoint and why he does the things he does, and I think it would have been the perfect end to the series, if they changed the ending to suit. It's like a prequel and sequel at the same time, showing the aftermath of Jigsaw's death and his beginnings. The 5th was BY FAR the worst. They should have called it Hoffman and not Saw. The 6th was actually pretty awesome. Not the best in the series, but not the worst. I really, really, don't want a 7th one, though. It's going to be in 3D(REALLY!? REAAALLY?) and it's coming out this October. Fml. |

For me the 6th was the worst and the ending suggested it's the end of the series also...it's incredible..if it's true about the movie coming in 3d..i think this would be the only reason for a 7th part.We're witnessing the rise of the 3d era  |

I don't see how the 6th was the worst. 5 was atrociously bad. It shouldn't even be part of the series. It was really short, had like two Jigsaw scenes, and largely consisted of completely USELESS flashbacks. And the revelation at the end was easy to spot 45 minutes into the movie.
And Hoffman didn't die at the end of 6, so obviously there would be another. Stupid hacks.

I would love to see the 7th in 3D....the 6th was gory and better than 5...
Actually back in the 90's they did 3D but it flopped but I agree I think 3D is gonna make a rise and stay

3D is only good when they don't make the movie with all the cheesy shit that's meant just for the 3D version. Y'know, all the retarded parts where someone throws something at the screen or the camera focuses on some random object from an explosion just so they can show off the "3D-ness". Take, say, My Bloody Valentine 3D for example. It was almost unwatchable in 2D because of all those parts.

I love the Saw series!
But yeah, number 5 was kind of odd...not quite in the same light as the others. O_o
I watched the 6th in theaters and I was the only person laughing in the whole theater. I loved it, but the 3rd one is still the best IMO.
