Wat. I hope the movie got WAY better after the first 20 minutes. That was all I could handle before turning it off so I didn't shoot myself. All the rest of the movies you listed are awesome though, except Inglorious Bastards, which I sadly have not seen yet.

D9 is very different. You have to watch it straight through to really appreciate it. It switches up a bit from the documentary style at the beginning.

"But being paid,--what will compare with it? The urbane activity with which a man receives money is really marvellous, considering that we so earnestly believe money to be the root of all earthly ills, and that on no account can a monied man enter heaven. Ah! how cheerfully we consign ourselves to perdition!" -Ishmael Last.fm

Ah, okay. I might give it another shot then. The documentary style at the beginning was getting on my nerves. And the lead character was sortof annoying me.

It's a difficult watch at points, don't get me wrong. But I felt that overall the movie was definitely worth the full watch for the sheer differentness. And the ending doesn't bitch out like Cloverfield and leave you feeling disappointed that you wasted your time on it.

District 9 was a wonderfully done movie, but as Fil said, you really do have to watch carefully to fully appreciate it.
