True, but again, sales have nothing to do with the album going Gold or Platinum or Diamond, at least not directly. These are awarded for how many copies of the album are manufactured, then shipped to retailers. They don't have to sell to count. However, the more copies bought, the more copies will need to be shipped, and the higher the count. So it does affect the awards, but going Gold/Platinum is not a count of how many copies you've sold, but how many you've shipped out to retailers.

As of now The Sickness 4,000,000 Believe 2,000,000 TTF 1,000,000 Indestructible 1,000,000 thanks a lot . but if it is so , where 5 more millions??? because in Indestructible advertising it was told that they sold over 11 or 12 millions of copies. what else??? maybe M.O.L.  but I don't think 5 millions for it. |

Well it is only reported when they have increments of 1,000,000 sales. So theoretically, Indestructible could presently be at 1,999,999.
When Indestructible was being marketed, they advertised 10 Million.
Also the single Down With The Sickness has sold 1,000,000 copies on its own.

Also, the platinium/gold stuff is only sales in the U.S. That doesn't include sales in every other country in the world. I don't think they've even gone gold anywhere else, though.

Didn't know that, explains the 10-12 mil. What the hell is Silver? I know different countries have different amounts and names for each thing, is that supposed to be similar to Gold? |
