Indestructible hit gold nearly a month and a half after it's release. Now almost 7 months after it's release, it still hasn't hit 1,000,000. When do you think it will be platinum? I'm thinking mid to late January

Very soon, you're probably right, mid January. Every store I've been to is out of it (good thing I already have it). I have a feeling it will be almost if not as succesful as The Sickness.

Well TTF hit Platinum a month after its release if I am not mistaken...so this one is taking a lot longer to do it..I amjust wondering why....ppl either don't have the money that they used (which I am leaning towards) or they don't like the new ablum...

I wonder if they count online sales, if they don't that may have to do with it. iTunes wasn't as popular in 2005 as it is now.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of people who've just downloaded it, most people I know aren't big fans and have just downloaded Inside the Fire

I do believe they also count online sales. However, I am wondering how many copies were sent out to market realistically. I'd also say look at the current economy. Because since that is hitting people really hard, and they cannot afford to do anything other than download it, or rip it from a friend who has an original, well that would play a major part in things. Then again, as you've said, maybe some people just didn't want to buy it. I also know a lot who have purchased the Special Limited Edition and all, were looking forward to what they believed would be a laminate that would give them some backstage access, and more than just a space to sit at a Monster/Rockstar tent at the concerts. But they didn't get much with that at all? Especially when people looked forward to being able to attend a M&G Party or something. And they haven't offered anything like that as of yet! The laminates expire in June of this year. So in some of that, may also affect record sales. Sad shame though. The album is really good.

One of the weaker songs off of it imo

Well that surprises me that TTF hit Plat before indestructible will. They are both great albums, but I would think that because Dan is doing more solos, and it was "their darkest album" (that may not be true), it would have sold faster. But as Janee said, maybe the economy has an impact on it. Everybody knows how to get it for free, so they may have done that rather then spend the $10-$15 for the album.

yeah, the economy today has a huge role in it. IND is the better CD BY FAR
