It sounds more to me like an on again off again relationship "Theres still a fire inside."... Sounds like fear of rejection holding you back from diving right into a full on relationship... "Unwilling to risk it all still uncertain....." like saying I want to take the leap, but I am afraid of falling down and getting hurt again...

How does that make any sense, then? And this:

Sounds to me like you just broke up with somebody, but the scars are still internally there (There's still a fire inside), so you're just gonna "tough it out" (let it burn till the image fades away).

Interesting, though, I just realized this song's chorus is pretty similar to "the first single off the album Ten Thousand Fists. This! Is! Stricken!" It' just the chorus, though, and only at one part, because both songs say, "And we know". Both sound sonically and melodically similar around these parts. Stricken being faster and louder, etc, obviously.

It's funny at first this was one of my least favorites. After current events I am totally feeling this song so now it is on repeat. I love the guitar in it though.

Still IS my least favorite... Feels fake to me. I hate the vocals, I hate the vocal effects, I can't get into the overall vibe. I will, however, admit to LOVING the guitar solo. |
